At Task Management Partner we have recently been watching a task management tool called nTask.

Compared with major services such as Todoist, it still has noticeable rough edges, so it is not something we can recommend without caveats. Even so, if the concept interests you, it is worth a try despite those flaws.

nTask highlights and recommended uses

For people who want to plan projects and track progress visually

Great when you want to sequence tasks and estimate effort.

Many people who handle internal operations at companies want to manage projects with detailed schedules or Gantt charts, even when they are using consumer-grade task apps.

nTask offers robust support for everything from high-level project planning down to individual tasks.
If you have ever been frustrated by the lack of Gantt charts in a task app, nTask will look attractive.

For people who want built-in time tracking

The timer button appears near the top center. You can also log time after the fact.

Measuring the time spent on a task improves the accuracy of future estimates.

When you think of time tracking, services such as Toggl probably come to mind. But if you want to handle planning and tracking in one place, you end up combining multiple tools.
nTask keeps everything under one roof and feels well put together.

Where nTask still falls short

No Japanese localization

Like many tools built for English-speaking markets, nTask does not fully support Japanese input.
For example, pressing Enter to confirm a conversion can sometimes submit the field instead.

Frequent instability

Compared with larger services with more users, nTask slows down or glitches more often.

Still evolving, but compelling

We are not actively offering nTask-specific support right now, but the concept aligns well with our service, so we are paying close attention.
Sato
Its collaboration features are especially powerful for people who struggle to move projects forward alone.
